St. George’s Day family entertainment at the V&A Museum of Childhood

The Bethnal Green V&A Museum of Childhood is hosting a traditional day of family entertainment to celebrate St George’s Day on Saturday 21st April.
The event will take place at the Cambridge Heath Road venue and will run from 11.30am to 4.30pm consisting of old-fashion games, live music & dance, and craft activities. This is a drop-in for all ages. Have a look at the programme:

13.55-14.20 Brass Ensemble (THAMES)

15.40-16.05 Punch and Judy
This free fun day will pay tribute England’s patron Saint, St George, with English folk music and dance, Punch and Judy shows, as well as ceilidh dancing with the Hedgepigs and Ed as well as crafting workshops.
A traditional English celebration wouldn’t be complete without some home-baked cakes from the East End WI.
There will also be performances by The London Music Hall Choir, the Tilbury Brass Band, Thames Brass Ensemble and Women Sing East, as seen on the programme.
This event is a V&A partnership with London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
