Regents Opera presents a stripped-back version of Wagner’s epic Ring Cycle, designed ‘in the round’ at York Hall in Bethnal Green across February and March 2025.
The Ring Cycle is directed by Caroline Stauton and conducted by Ben Woodward, who has reworked the score to fit a 21-piece arrangement, reduced from 100.
This series of four operas played on different days and stars Ralf Lukas as Wotan and The Wanderer, Peter Furlong as Siegfried, and Catharine Woodward as Brünnhilde.
The complete Ring Cycles will be performed not just once but twice. The first Cycle will be played on 9th, 11th, 13th and 16th February 2025. The second Cycle will be played on the 23rd, 25th, and 27th of February and 2nd of March 2025.
