Are you interested in finding the secret about the history of Bow? What are the key places and moments that have shaped the area? Who should be celebrated and remembered?
Roman Road Trust invites you, the local residents, to be a part of an amazing opportunity to discover the Bow Heritage Trail’s history. For the past three months, Roman Road Trust in conjunction with QMUL and The Cultural Assembly, to create a revitalised, digital version of the Bow Heritage Trail. The aim: to mix well-known and well-loved histories with stories that are hidden or wanting to be discovered. Through visiting local archived and researching, the journey is only just beginning.
Through a series of workshops (20 May and 26 May), Roman Road Trust are aiming to help discover these hidden histories and find out the most important parts of Bow’s heritage. These first sessions are introductory workshops, where the project will be introduced. The workshops will showcase the various multi-media forms you can use to share your stories of Bow. Artists Caramel Soldier and Kwesi Johnson will guide you through your creative options from Instagram filters, to spoken word/rap, to photo journals and video.
