Roman Road Trust is offering a three or six month work experience placement to a local resident, sponsored by GMB Union. This is a great experience for someone to gain experience and contacts in the world of events, journalism, social media, community development and urban regeneration.

The work experience candidate will be working on the development and delivery of Roman Road Yard Market, a new community-led weekly market; the annual Roman Road Festival 2016; managing and contributing to the RomanRoadLDN digital platforms, and helping organise and develop ideas for engaging consultation events for the Roman Road Neighbourhood Plan.  The successful candidate will also be able to sit in on Board meetings and get an insight into the governance and ethos of social enterprises.

Roman Road Trust has partnered with GMB Union, the country’s third biggest workers union, who will be sponsoring the placement. The candidate will receive £100 per week to cover expenses and will have the opportunity for other paid work on a project-by-project basis. This is a wonderful opportunity for a member of the community to contribute to a worthy cause, learn a wide range of skills and enhance their CV for future employment opportunity.
