‘Run with the Ancestors’ British Science Association Race
Saturday 16 March, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 2:00 pm£20.00
The British Science Association is celebrating British Science Week with a special racing event called ‘Run with the Ancestors’ at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The science-themed run is an epic journey through time, scaling down one million years of Britain’s history into a fascinating soundtrack, provided by Six to Start (known for ‘Zombies, Run!’)
The event offers two races, a 5k race perfect for families and more amateur runners and a 10k race for more confident runners. People are encouraged to download the Run with the Ancestors app which will be available to download for free in the week of the event. Tickets for the races are £20.00, which will include a goodie bag and themed medal. The £20 will be a donation to the British Science Association.
The races will take place in the North Park area of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The course will be on tarmac and hard gravel, and registration for the event starts at 8:30am.
The minimum age for participating in the race is 15 years old for the 10k race and 11 years old for the 5k race.
The British Science Association is working in partnership with Eurotunnel for this event.
