Every Thursday evening we present a free film screening at the Victoria Park Baptist Church, introduced and presented by Shawm Kreitzman.
This Thursday (the 15th of May) we are continuing the series: “Post-Depression Tragedy.”
We’ll be screening “The Narrow Margin” (1952)
Some critics have described this film as “the perfect “B” Movie” and they sort of have point.
Short, tightly plotted and with no big-name stars, this little thriller is a masterclass in what can be done with limited resources, a good script and a skilled director.
All of our film screenings are completely free, and open to everyone.
Coffee, cake etc. will be available!
(Doors open at 7.00pm)
Everyone is welcome!

These film nights are such an amazing offer – enjoyable films, with interesting histories which we get to be introduced to and with tea & coffee and home made cakes available. And it’s all free (apart from the cake & drinks). I have been going for some time. We get to have an enjoyable evening in friendly company and learn a lot about film, and everyone is made to feel welcome.
I am VERY appreciative of these evenings. I have learned so much and expanded my appreciation of film genres that previously I had thought ‘not for me’. I have also at last caught up on well known classics. Many more people ought to know about these fun, informative sessions and try them out. Slices of home-baked cakes on offer too!
