Event description
A Grounding Autumn Sound Bath
Thu 24th Nov, 8-9.30pm
£25
Enjoy a soothing sound bath framed by meditation, with Bara and Lindsay.
Layering the multi-tonal sounds of the gong with primordial drum beats, harmonious tones of the crystal bowls, Himalayan bowls, and other healing sounds, your hosts will take you on a highly relaxing sound journey, playing simultaneously at points, and sometimes over, or on, the body, so that the vibrations can be more fully received and integrated.
The sound bath will be book-ended by guided meditation for an easeful transition in and out of the deep experience.
Sound baths work by triggering the body’s relaxation response and entraining the brainwaves to shift from a beta (busy, thinking, planning) into an alpha/theta (calm, meditative, dreamy) state. The many benefits of sound bathing include stress relief, improved sleep, reduction of pain, and release of difficult emotions.
In alignment with the introspective energy of Autumn time, November’s sound journey will be laced with the intention of grounding. We endeavour to steer you inwards and offer a sonic cradle of support and nurturing for whatever you uncover.
No effort is required from you. This is a space for you to simply release, rest, and receive.
Bara and Lindsay are yoga teachers, sound practitioners, and good friends who share a creative and intuitive approach to their vision of collective healing in safe spaces through the visceral sonic experience. Bara is also an experimental musician, whose hypnotic work can be found on Spotify under Bara and Isa. A friendly, heart-centered pair of humans, they very much look forward to connecting with you.
