A stalwart of the London live music scene, Mojo Wellington has performed his particular brand of Rhythm & Blues piano in venues and locations across the capital, including the Houses of Parliament, Oxo Tower, Pizza Express jazz club and Westfield Village, as well as popular nightspots like CellarDoor (with future Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist drag queen Myra DuBois), Big Easy restaurants, and Nightjar and Oriole cocktail bars. Mojo performed Bohemian Rhapsody while Queen’s Brian May stood at the end of the piano – an anecdote Mojo never tires of telling.
After years of classical cello training and massive involvement in youth orchestra programs (and a psychology bachelor somewhere in between), in 2017 Altea started exploring new ways of learning, and developing a personal use of both my instrument & voice. She likes to braid cello and voice together, sometimes starting from a traditional tune, or an image or concept, other times improvising both parts from bare emotion and seeing what happens.
Definitely a live music event that you can’t miss!
