The Geezers invite you to our festival is in the Ecology Pavilion in Mile End Park on 26th and 27th April to celebrate the Old Ford area in Bow as we knew and know it. The festival will explore the history of where we live and the threads connecting the past with the present through a photography project recreating scenes from the past called ‘Roman Road Faces’, made possible by National Lottery players and Clarion. We are showcasing the findings at this free community festival, which will have a history exhibition, art exhibition, workshops, stalls, games, music, East End Women’s Institute Tea Stall, and more. The event will also launch our local history map, which will be free at the event, and a new book, ‘Tales of Old Ford, Bow’.
