Event description
You have probably noticed the blue and gold plaques dotted around Bow that mark the many histories of our neighbourhood. But have you ever wanted to see other local histories, stories and individuals celebrated in the trail?
Roman Road Trust is excited to announce its brand new project ‘Rediscovering the Bow Heritage Trail’ to revitalise, celebrate and strengthen the original trail.
Working in partnership with QMUL School of Geography and QMUL Network, the project will take a revitalised look at the current Trail. It will mix the well-known and well-loved histories of the East End with ones that are still hidden and waiting to be discovered.
And this is where the Trust needs you!
You are invited to help shape the rediscovered heritage trail by sharing your own histories of the area. Do you have any interesting stories about the history of Bow, maybe from your recent past or from your family history? What are the key places and moments that have shaped the area? Who are the people that should be remembered?
Join in on a session on Thursday 26 May at Idea Store Bow and share your stories and memories of the area.
