What’s better than singing with strangers? Singing with strangers who then become friends!
Join St Margaret’s house for six sessions with choir coach Gabriella, who will be leading warmups, signing and lyrics over Zoom.
You’ll be joined by singers from all over the country including Manchester, Liverpool and across London.
No singing experience is necessary and all levels are welcome.
What’s East London Cares?
East London Cares is a community network that connects younger and older neighbours for fun, friendship and to try new things. They want people to feel part of our changing patch of the city, rather than left behind by it. Before Covid-19, they did this in person: running fifteen social clubs a month with activities ranging from drag queen karaoke, Desert Island Discs parties, theatre, quizzes, pub clubs and vegan brunches. The focus is always about socialising and meeting new people who you might not ordinarily get the chance to hang out with, as people often only hang out with people of a similar age to them: they’re trying to change that.
Can you help us?
As a not-for-profit media organisation using journalism to strengthen communities, we have not put our digital content behind a paywall or membership scheme as we think the benefits of an independent, local publication should be available to everyone living in our area.
If a fraction of the local 40,000 residents donated two pounds a month to Roman Road LDN it would be enough for our editorial team to serve the area full time and be beholden only to the community. A pound at a time, we believe we can get there.
Support Roman Road LDN from as little as £2 and enjoy the benefits of being a Patron.
