Event description
Soundbath: A Journey Through the Senses
Journey through the senses: a soundbath to strengthen the mind-body connection through sound, smell, touch and taste.
Indulge in an experience designed to strengthen the connection between mind and body; a soundbath to guide you into a deep state of relaxation and renewal, combined with grounding reflective practices and a multi-sensory exploration. An experience to meet yourself in a safe space, relax into your body and leave feeling grounded and renewed with greater clarity and space.
The session begins with a guided self-reflection which is designed to help you to expand your awareness of different emotional states within the body and gives space to focus on aspects of yourself you would like to explore more deeply. This is followed by a relaxing 45-minute soundbath, featuring the Himalayan Bowls, Gong, and Crystal Bowls, culminating in therapeutic percussion; a sequence specifically designed to take participants into an altered state of consciousness and lift them back out again gently.
After the soundbath finishes, there will be a short reflective period to check in with yourself and notice if any changes have occurred. To guide you back to a normal, waking state there will be a full body scan, paired with gentle grounding practices. To further enhance your post-soundbath experience, fresh mint tea and dark chocolate truffles will be shared as a chance to explore taste and smell; using the senses to ground you in your post- soundbath experience.
Studies have shown that regular soundbaths following the BAST method can lower blood pressure and participants often notice reduced anxiety, and a decrease in mental and physical tension. This session not only enhances overall wellbeing but also fosters greater mental and emotional flexibility. With the addition of the self-reflective exercises, it becomes a powerful space to set personal intentions and become aware of any internal blockages.
