Off The Chest return to Rich Mix for the launch of their inaugural poetry anthology, Spaces of Significance.
Expect readings from the poets published within the anthology, as well as a feature sets from internationally acclaimed, multi-award-winning poet and best-selling author, Anthony Anaxagorou FRSL plus BBC and World Poetry Slam Champion, Kat François.
Edited by acclaimed poets and publishers Aaron Kent of Broken Sleep Books and Jake Wild Hall of Bad Betty Press, the anthology includes poetry from award-winning poets Dean Atta, Laurie Bolger, Molly Naylor, Francis-Xavier Mukiibi, James McDermott, and many more. The poetry in this anthology spans wide and diverse spaces – from the girls’ toilets to the ocean floor.
Doors open at 2pm with the event kicking off at 2.30pm. There will also be a mini open mic session where you can perform your own work on this theme. As ever, hosts Iftikhar Latif and Ella Dorman-Gajic will be welcoming you to the space.
After the event, from 5.30pm, there will be time to socialise, listen to music and buy the anthology. You don’t want to miss this explosive day of poetry, filled with performances from the most cutting-edge new, emerging and established poets the UK has to offer.
