Eighties band The Cure will perform live at The Troxy for their new album Songs of a Lost World.
Songs of a Lost World is the upcoming fourteenth studio album from the alternative rock band The Cure and will be released the day of the performance, November 1.
The band started making music in 1976 and became a popular gothic rock band in the 80s and 90s, headlining Glastonbury three times and had chart-topping songs such as Friday I’m in Love, Just Like Heaven and Love Song.
The new album Songs of a Lost World, is their first studio album after 16 years and have promoted its release with their Shows of a Lost World Tour across America.
The Troxy first opened in 1933 and is known for its art deco design and many celebrity performances and shows including Andrew Garfield’s lip sync at RuPaul’s Drag Race event, Robbie William’s BRIT Icon concert, and Lita Roza, the first UK British artist to top the UK solo charts in 1953.
Tickets for The Cure at The Troxy go on sale from 3 pm on 17 October. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube for free.
