PETRICHOR is a new innovative immersive show that will be run at Theatre Royal Stratford East from Tuesday 08 – Saturday 12 December 2020 – the first piece of theatre since they closed in March.
The virtual reality experience from acclaimed theatre company ThickSkin will transport you to a dystopian society where happiness has been traded for a world without pain. You will meet two unlikely individuals who start to question everything they’ve ever known. Combining live-action theatre and animation, PETRICHOR explores the current hopes and fears of our current and future existence.
There are two ways for you to enjoy the show. You can attend in person at Stratford East in our new socially-distanced environment or online from the comfort of your own home using your own smart phone or device (no VR headset needed!). PETRICHOR is suitable for ages 13+ and can be the perfect family outing this December.
Tickets are just £7.50 for the in-theatre experience and £6 for the online experience. Priority booking is now open for all Members with booking for the general public opening later today at 4pm. Capacity is extremely limited, so don’t delay – get your tickets now.
Can you help us?
As a not-for-profit media organisation using journalism to strengthen communities, we have not put our digital content behind a paywall or membership scheme as we think the benefits of an independent, local publication should be available to everyone living in our area.
If a fraction of the local 40,000 residents donated two pounds a month to Roman Road LDN it would be enough for our editorial team to serve the area full time and be beholden only to the community. A pound at a time, we believe we can get there.
Support Roman Road LDN from as little as £2 and enjoy the benefits of being a Patron.
