Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, minimum 5 days per week
Job Summary:
This is not just another coffee shop. A Fallen Poete is a concept store—a space where food, fashion, and culture come together with purpose and intention. We’re looking for a Chef de Partie who can take full ownership of the coffee/bar kitchen, lead a small but curated menu, and bring passion, precision, and creativity to the role.
Our food offering is simple, stylish, and quality-driven: three signature toasties and a selection of pre-made pastries. You’ll work independently, ensuring everything from preparation to presentation reflects the brand’s aesthetic and values.
This role is perfect for someone who loves food and enjoys being part of a creative, fashion-forward environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and run the coffee/bar kitchen independently
Prepare and serve our signature toasties and curated pastries with consistency and care
Maintain excellent hygiene, organisation, and daily prep standards
Manage stock levels and reduce waste
Collaborate closely with the front-of-house and coffee teams
Uphold food safety procedures and maintain kitchen documentation (e.g., temperature logs)
Contribute ideas to seasonal menus and creative presentation
Be a part of and reflect the lifestyle and style of a fashion-led concept store
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in boutique cafés or independent kitchens
Comfortable working solo in a kitchen environment
Strong interest in fashion, design, and contemporary culture
Eye for detail and high standards in food presentation
Food Hygiene Level 2 (preferred)
Punctual, reliable, and calm under pressure
A creative mindset and positive energy
