Early Help, and Children & Family Services are working in partnership with Tower Hamlets Workpath to offer residents the opportunity to secure paid work in Tower Hamlets schools.
They are recruiting job ready people who are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant role in Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools in Tower Hamlets. (We also have vacancies in Newham, Hackney, and Camden schools. All roles will require you to support children in all aspects of their Learning, Development, and Care).
PLEASE NOTE: There are no part time positions available. All applicants must be able to work from 8:45am to 4:00pm
Essential Requirements:
Must have minimum of 6 months experience working with or supporting children in any setting.
Must be available to work full time (8:45am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday)
Must have successfully completed a Childcare or Teaching Assistant course L2 or above or be willing to enroll on a course to achieve this qualification.
Must have A-C or equivalent qualifications in both Math’s and English. (Applicants must have at least L2 English & Maths, and have certificates)
Must be able to provide 2 references and be happy to undertake a DBS check. Any job offers will be subject to receipt of satisfactory DBS and reference checks.

Only applicants whose CV shows their suitability for these roles will be contacted. The CV must show at least 6 months relevant experience, and details of exam grades.
If your CV demonstrates that you meet the criteria, you will be called and asked some screening questions.
If you pass the screening, they will be asked to provide their right to work documents, POA and qualification certificates.
Once those documents are received, you will be booked to meet the employer on Tuesday 1st November at the John Smith Childrens Centre.
On the day, applicants will meet with the employer who will ask them to confirm their experience, qualifications and availability. Successful applicants will be sent a link to complete the employers registration form there and then with the support of Workpath officers.
Job starts will be in January 2023, though some may start before Christmas holidays.
