Open Council Network

The purpose of the Open Council Network is to improve communication between local councils and citizens.

We listen to all of the meetings and decisions made by local councillors and use AI to generate detailed summaries that help journalists monitor the activities of local authorities and inform their readers.

Effective democracy requires you to be aware of what is going on in government so that you can exert some influence on it, be that through elections, or through everyday engagement.

The Open Council Network’s role is to make sure you get that information.
