Win an original portrait of your pooch to hang over the mantelpiece by local canine artist Ryan Hodge.
Hodge is the dog obsessed artist behind Woof Portraits. Originally from Wales, he is now firmly settled in E3 after studying Illustration at UWE, Bristol. He shares a studio space at Bow Arts, where he creates his custom pet portraits.
There is no modelling needed. Hodge works from your favourite photos. He asks customers to provide a selection of images that best show off their pooch’s character, clearly showing their eyes and face. Typically photos taken in soft day light are the most successful, especially for very dark or very light dogs.
Hodge’s artwork is heavily inspired by artists like Andy Warhol and David Hockney and are influenced by the layering techniques used in screen printing. Each layer of colour and detail is drawn by hand and are sandwiched together digitally to make the final printed image.
The winner of the competition will receive an A3 print normally worth £225.
