Event description
A visual, dynamic and luminous contemporary flamenco dance show that leads us into the light and dark of our natural world through the beauty of the Blue Ghost Firefly.
Rich, rhythmical and expressive flamenco meets live electronic music (Nick Rothwell, Cassiel) in a nostalgic celebration that reminds us of our interconnectedness and embraces our need for transformation, showing us that even the smallest creatures have an important part to play. Choreographed by Luz & Mannion & produced by Dotdotdot Dance, this show is also a collaboration with insect conservation societies Xerces & Buglife UK.
About Dotdotdot Dance:
Dotdotdot Dance was born out of a need to build an environment that nurtures creativity and values freedom of expression, producing dance work that is thoughtful, truthful and relevant. We are moved by the desire to tell stories and our approach to creation is investigative, inquisitive and whole-hearted. An important source of inspiration for our work comes from an ongoing conversation between British and Spanish cultures and we embrace cross disciplinary collaboration, opening dialogue between genres and innovating to create new forms.
