Book onto one of our guided art tours, happening every Saturday during the summer months! These free walks will be led by artist and educator, Gisela Torres, and guide you along The Line to discover the art, nature and history along the route.
Please book your free space via Eventbrite.
Start: meet at 11am by the lifts closest to the London Aquatics Centre at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The meeting point is at the end of the bridge, opposite the West Ham Stadium, by the lifts.
Tour: lasts approximately 90 minutes
End: the walk ends at 12.30 at Cody Dock. There is a cafe, toilets and outdoor seating at Cody Dock.
Transport
Start: the closest station to the start point is Stratford. Stratford is connected by the Jubilee Line, Elizabeth Line, Central Line, London Overground, National Rail, Stansted Express and DLR.
End: the closest station to the end point, Cody Dock, is Star Lane. Star Lane is on the DLR.
What to expect
– Most of the tours are led by Gisela Torres, an artist and educator. Trained as a photographer and filmmaker, her practice engages with self-portraiture, performance, printmaking, sculpture and emerging media technologies.
– The tour passes 11 different artworks, and goes via The House Mill heritage site and along the River Lea.
– From 15 July, the walk will also include a 15 min stop at the House Mill, where we are hosting Tributaries, an exhibition of moving image works on the theme of water.
– Please wear appropriate footwear and weather appropriate clothes.
– Please bring water and suncream
