Job description
We’re looking for booksellers, baristas and bartenders to be part of our opening team at Bàrd Books on Roman Road. Both full and part-time hours available. Bookselling experience welcome but not required: you must genuinely love books, and be willing to chat and proactively recommend our customers’ next reads.
Some barista or bartending experience a bonus. But enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is vital. Salary: £12 per hour plus bookseller discounts!
We’re a small, hands-on team, so need someone who’s not afraid of getting stuck in. From busting out early morning coffees to helping run evening book-ish and art clubs/events; plus the everyday chat about what’s on your TBR (To Be Read) pile!
About Organisation
Bàrd Books is a new, independent bookseller, due to open late June on the Roman Road. Opening 6 days (Tuesday - Sunday), we will also host book-ish events in the evenings.
