Event description
In collaboration with UCL, a free Trellis Workshop is being held at The Art Pavillion.
From Saturday 30th April- Saturday 7th May.
There are a number of workshops taking place as part of this exhibition.
- The first workshop is part of Material Conversations, an artwork exploring the sense of touch and sound. Individuals will be encouraged to explore sound and our environments, showing that the world is an instrument. The workshop will help the discovery of different sounds created from materials that surround us everyday. (30th April 1:30pm-5:00pm)
- Join Another Provision for the launch of our installation and publication, developed in collaboration with National Food Service – London. You will hear from artist Johann Arens and researcher Hanna Baumann about our joint project on food as an urban infrastructure. (6th May 18:00pm-21:00pm)
- Patterns of Connection is a collaboration between artist Marysa Dowling and neuroscientists Catherine Perrodin and Liam Browne. They have been exploring how we experience the world, and connect with each other using sound, vision and touch. Playfully capture the fleeting nature of nonverbal communication using glow in the dark photographic techniques, and see if you can match sounds and images. (7th May 14:00pm-16:00pm)
- In this interactive art workshop you will work with jewellery designer and artist Kassandra Gordon and artist and scientist Ayse Akarca to explore ways of telling stories through art making. (7th May 14:00pm-1
