Join the Balkan Village band on 16 October for their Autumn gig at the Gallery Cafe, their ‘home’ venue. Expect apart from huge fun some dance tunes, quirky improvised solos, weird rhythms and a few debuts of our new arrangements. The gig is running from 7 to 9.30 pm.
The Balkan Village Band is a community ensemble that shares a passion for Eastern European and Balkan Gypsy music. Led and taught by violinist, singer and ethnomusicologist Gundula Stojanova Gruen, the group performs a wide repertoire of soulful songs and wild dance tunes from many regions South and East of the Danube.
