IMPERIO BAMBA
Imperio Bamba is a project born in North London, in 2016. They describe their sound as chichafrodelic, mixing chicha, afro-peruvian and psychedelic rhythms that emerge from their Latin American roots. Telling their stories through songs, immigrants’ stories, they try to create moments to feel in community, creating a home far away from home.
Imperio Bamba is a representation of Latin American music diversity, with members from the Cono Sur. Their performance is an electrifying experience, filled with energy and passion that will make the audience connect with each other in a musical journey. Move the way you like – Go anywhere you want – Find the place and space where your body and mind feel free.
Jalo Nuñez Del Prado (Discos Fantastico)
For the past sixteen years, the work of music archaeologist and collector Jalo Núñez Del Prado has been focused on the exploration, curation and promotion of diverse musical expressions of the Latin American world. His trajectory dates back to 2006 when he founded Plastilina Records with the purpose of stimulating the music industry in Peru, always committed to the local music scene. Today, through Discos Fantástico, Ellas Rugen, Discos Horóscopo, among many other record labels that he leads, Jalo has rescued thousands of forgotten works and stories of the tropical spectrum such as cumbia, boogaloo, cha cha chá, descarga, boleros, even rock beat and other gems. His enthusiasm and impetus have led him to also become a musical selector of rarities from the Latin world of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s on stages in Berlin, London, Stockholm, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Barcelona, among other cities around the world. He is currently based in Madrid.
