Event description
The Future Artists Festival is happening on Saturday 16th August and you’re invited! Are you a young person who loves art, performance and creativity? Do you dream of being an artist one day in the future? We’re here to show you that anything is possible and in fact, you already are an artist!
Organised by Chisenhale Art Place, the Future Artists Festival is a celebration of local creativity and inspiration featuring art activities, performances, and interactive workshops designed especially for families and young people. Our festival is designed for children aged 4+ years and their families but anyone and everyone is welcome. Enjoy drop-in art and dance workshops, live performances and meet real-life artists in our Meet the Artists tent! Attendees can take part in art workshops including exploring clay, natural dyeing and Somali textile design and learn new skills in our beatboxing, kathak and breakdancing sessions, plus see live performances by the Pagrav Dance Company.
Guests are invited to cross the road and visit Chisenhale Gallery to view the latest exhibition by artist Benoît Piéron and see an exhibition of recent projects completed by Chisenhale Primary School in collaboration with artists Renata Minoldo and Edwin Mingard and musician Richard Jones.
