Event description
Direct from Mexico City’s Arena Mexico, the legendary stars of Lucha Libre Wrestling are coming to Bethnal Green’s York Hall for a day of explosive and theatrical fighting on Sunday 19 May.
The world’s oldest wrestling promotion, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), is travelling to the East End, gracing Londoners with an authentic introduction to the traditional Mexican combat sport.
Audiences will witness two spectacular events bursting with heroism and villainy, masked athleticism, virtuosity and the uniquely Mexican high-flying take on free wrestling. An event originating in Japan to showcase the Mexican style of wrestling, RevPro will take you on an exhilarating and air-punching journey.
The shows will showcase fifteen-star wrestlers, including the biggest star in Mexico, Mistico, the masked father, father-son duo Atlantis & Atlantis Jr, and the CMLL Women’s Champion Stephan Vaquer.
Revolution Pro Wrestling matchmaker Andy Quildan said: “One of the great things about Pro Wrestling is it’s an international language that anyone can understand and I firmly believe that this will be another illustration of that fact.
“We look forward to working with the world’s oldest wrestling promotion and are hopeful that this new partnership will not only thrill crowds but also aid the development of our homegrown stars who will be competing alongside and against some of the most talented wrestlers in the world.”
