Laani at Grow, Hackney

On Saturday 1 July, LAANI returns to Grow, Hackney for an extended four-hour deep dive into her music collection.

LAANI blends nu jazz, neo-soul, afro beats, broken beat and house. Her eclectic style propels her musical pursuits- she is a regular face on the London nu-jazz and live music scene. She is currently the Events Producer at the seminal organisation and label Jazz re:freshed, with previous experience at the influential recording houses Brownswood Recordings & Strut.

With extensive and diverse musical knowledge, LAANI has been circulating the UK underground club scene. She has played at venues such as Oval Space, Corsica Studios, Colour Factory, Ronnie Scotts and The Jazz Cafe, and for promoters such as KOKO and Crack Magazine. She has also DJed at festivals such as Primavera Sound and We Out Here.
