Feminist punk rock band Le Tigre perform at Troxy on Saturday 3 June.

Le Tigre was founded in 1999 by Kathleen Hanna, the former lead singer of U.S. punk band Bikini Kill. Le Tigre moved beyond the traditional instrumentation of punk, exploring drum-machine beats, sampling, and lo-fi electronics.

The band’s music continues to draw on the riot grrrl subculture, an underground feminist punk movement prevalent in the United States during the 1990s.

Le Tigre will be supported by the Brighton rock band Dream Wife.
