Event description
The East End Women’s Museum is putting on an afternoon class for LGBTQ+ members on how to make zines in Barking. Get creative under the guidance of Lu Williams, the creator of grrrlzinefair, who will teach all there is to know about the zine world.
In this class, people can explore more about the history of zines, learn more about queer women in the East End, and also make their very own zine.
Materials will be provided but members are encouraged to bring old newspapers and magazines to get more crafty and make their zine more personalised.
Those who identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community are encouraged to sign up for the free class to help maintain a safe space.
