Event description
The Matchwomen’s Festival celebrates the 1888 Matchwomen’s Strike. This small, friendly festival will feature talks from various activists, including former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn. There will also be live music. Notably, the event is social anxiety friendly with a designated chill-out area. The festival borrows on themes from the East End’s proud striking history to create an inclusive and inspiring space.
