Event description
Led by Iman Mohamed, this workshop will consider how the technologies we have to research family histories typically excludes diaspora communities.
In answer to this problem, Mohamed discusses the potential of personal archiving as a method to preserve personal and collective cultural memory.
Participants are invited to bring an object of value to the session – this can be physical, like a photograph, or intangible, like a recipe or song.
