Stepney litter picking at Stepney City Farm

Have you noticed the litter problem in the local area? Join other residents to take action and help make Stepney a nicer place to live.

Stepney City Farm has teamed up with CleanUp UK, Tower Hamlets Council, and the Wapping & Shadwell Wombles to launch a new regular litter picking group. We’ll be providing the support and equipment for the community to tackle this issue together.

The first event will be on Saturday, 30 July. Wombles Paul and Danny will be at the Farm at 10am wearing hi viz so you can easily find them.

Meet at 10 am on Saturday 30 July, at Stepney City Farm. Lead litter pickers Danny and Paul will give a short briefing on health and safety shortly after 10 and get you kitted out with a grabber, a bin bag and gloves.

Please take photos of the mess you find and an after shot – this is really important to show what we’re dealing with.
