Event description
Totally Thames, the annual celebration of London’s river, is returning in 2022 with mudlarking exhibitions, a river-themed parade celebrating the Jubilee, a remarkable photography exhibition and Tide Changers – a development programme run by Thames Festival Trust that supports early career artists.
Thames Festival was launched in September 1997 with a record-breaking high wire walk across the River Thames. The festival and associated activities is operated by Thames Festival Trust, an independent charity.
There are nearly 100 events taking place, with 16 being held at various locations around Tower Hamlets, including:
- London’s Lost Village: East India Docks Invisible Empire Walk.
- Thames Islands: Presentation and Discussion.
- London’s Lost Village: The Faraday Effect.
- Wandering the Wilderness: Sketch Map and Road Signs.
- Kelp Forest – Enhancing Biodiversity.
- The Great River Race.
- Thames Murky Past: Pirates and Executions.
