Come down to Star Lane Pizza Bar and join us at The Line for a free, artist-led workshop as part of the ‘Here to There’ project. ‘Here to There’ will see a series of new artworks located between Star Lane Station and Cody Dock that will direct people to the route of The Line that runs along the River Lea.
Artist Katie Schwab will lead this workshop, in which you will learn about the technique of woodblock printing, a process rooted in this area of Newham, block-printed textiles historically having been manufactured on the Lower Lea. Create your own block printed designs and discover the possibilities of this ancient process.
– All materials for will be supplied.
– The workshops are free; however, they must be booked in advance via Eventbrite.
– Places are limited so early booking is advised.
– One place must be booked for each participant i.e., one adult and two children would be three places.
– The workshop is suitable for ages of 5 years and above.
– All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.Please bring your Eventbrite booking with you.

The Line is an ambitious public art project in East London that connects Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and The O2, following the waterways and the line of the Greenwich Meridian.
