Flat Earth Pizzas has officially clinched the title of ‘Britain’s Best Pizza’ in a nationwide showdown judged by the pizza maestro himself, Marco Fuso.
The competition focused on factors like innovation, visual appeal, taste and sustainability. Out of entrants from across the UK, Flat Earth made it to the finals, impressing a mystery dining panel along the way.
In the ultimate round, Flat Earth had the honour of cooking for Marco, who was blown away by the taste and texture of the dough, along with the unique choice of toppings.
The star entry was the Kimchi Fiorentina – a crowd-pleaser that reflects Flat Earth’s philosophy: heritage grain dough, house-made ferments, organic tomato passata, top-notch British cheeses, the UK’s best egg by Cacklebean, all garnished with Maldon sea salt and dehydrated beetroot crumb.
“We’re over the moon about this achievement! Being a small independent joint crafting British pizzas in our own style, competing against strong contenders, and snagging first place is huge for us. Receiving the ‘Britain’s Best Pizza’ accolade is a true testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone at Flat Earth. We’re genuinely proud to bring what’s officially ‘Britain’s Best Pizza’ to our beloved east London community! ” – Rich Baker, Co-founder
