This is the call for entries for Women’s History Month in East London this March celebrating Women in Sport, with the deadline for submission on 23 January 2023.
Women’s History Month in East London is pleased to announce the call for entries from women photographers for the Women’s History Month Photography Exhibition which will be exhibited at the Brady Arts Centre, Hanbury Street E1 5HU and Online. The aim is to give all kinds of women photographers the opportunity to participate in Women’s History Month and exhibit their work to the public.
Images celebrating women’s sport and inspiring participation will be exhibited alongside archive images of the history of women’s football, and women’s sports in East London. The subject is open to interpretation and may be captured in a single image or a series of images. Up to 5 images may be submitted.
Entry is free and open to all kinds of photographers, professional and non-professional, students, young people, and community projects/workshops.
All entrants must complete the attached Entry Form and return it to info@alternativearts.co.uk by 23 January 2023. Early submission appreciated.
All images must be submitted in high res @300dpi via ‘WeTransfer’ (a free filesharing service) www.wetransfer.com and clearly identified with your name and a title and sent to info@alternativearts.co.uk Please get help if you need it to do this.
Submitted images may be used for publicity purposes. Image copyright remains with the photographer. The management reserves the right to reject work not deemed suitable for exhibition.
All participants will be sent invitations to the Opening Preview of the Exhibition on Thursday 2 March 2023 from 6pm to 8pm at the Brady Arts Centre and may bring guests.
The Women’s History Month Photography Exhibition will be open Monday to Friday 9am – 7pm and Saturday 10am – 4pm. Admission Free.
