The Imagine Fund is a community grant-making and support scheme in which decisions about funding are made by the community themselves.
Delivered for the first time last year, the grants provide an opportunity for 10 people to get seed funding for ideas they were interested in for the local community. The grants are allocated by a panel of community members working together to design the process and make decisions.
The Imagine Fund 2022 has two different grants to apply for: seed funds and project grants.
Seed funds provide £500 to test an idea in your community. Always wanted to start a book group? Or have a go at a gardening club? This is the fund for you! There are no set outcomes here, this is all about trying something.
Project Grants are larger grants of £2000, available to deliver a community or cultural project in the local area which needs more time and support to make happen.
Applications for both grants close on Tuesday 3 May.
The Imagine Fund is also looking for community members to help to assess applications and make decisions about what’s needed locally. It’s a great way to get to know other local people, receive training and experience and you will also be compensated £850 for taking part.
Applications to be on the panel close on Tuesday 19th April.
