Investec Beyond Business is offering funding and expert business support for founders with a mission in east London.
The programme is an incredible opportunity to make your social business a success, whether you have recently started out or have an idea in mind. Provided your business has a clear social purpose, Investec Beyond Business wants to hear from you.
Social enterprises are businesses with a primary purpose of addressing community or environmental challenges. Now in its 13th year, Investec Beyond Business has kick-started 59 businesses, and created over 375 jobs.
Starting a business is difficult. Investec Beyond Business makes sure you’re supported along the way, with successful applicants receiving:
● Start-up funding of up to £24k
● Strategic and business planning guidance
● Practical business support including training and mentoring
● Access to the impressive alumni network
Investec Beyond Business is looking for great founders with big ideas to improve our communities. Last year six incredible winners; Hackney School of Food, Black Women in Real Estate, WAX Atelier, Wild Mosaic, Travel Hands and Spiritwood, took the plunge and saw their businesses boosted by the investment.

How to apply
Your business must be less than a year old, or it can be at the idea stage, provided it has a clear social purpose. At least one founder must be based in the boroughs of Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Islington and Waltham Forest, but the business does not have to be running in east London.
