As part of the Just Food and Climate Transition (Just FACT) programme, Just FACT is launching the second and final round of the Action Learning Grants scheme this September, which will award £175,000 worth of grants to Tower Hamlets projects.
Just Fact is offering two types of grants. The Community Hub Fund (£1,000 – £10,000) will fund learning and action on food and climate issues, whilst the Community Lab Fund (£10,000 – £40,000) is for larger-scale community-driven projects.
The Just Food and Climate Transition programme is a five-year partnership programme led by the Women’s Environmental Network (Wen). The programme is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund’s Climate Action Fund and involves research from Platform London.
Just Fact is a network of local organisations based in Tower Hamlets aiming to create innovative solutions for a food system in crisis, from youth campaigns to community composting initiatives.
The grants will enable the local residents and community groups from Tower Hamlets to create the building blocks for a food system that is democratic, environmentally sustainable, and people-driven.
Applications reopen on Tuesday 19 September on the Just Fact website. The deadline to apply is Tuesday 31 October.
