Event description
Every Thursday evening we present a free film screening at the Victoria Park Baptist Church, introduced and presented by Shawm Kreitzman.
Our current series looks at various historical and modern examples of persecution, from the Salem Witch Trials and the anti-Communist crusades of the 1950s, to more contemporary populist social movements.
This Thursday (the 1st of June) we will be screening the film “The Lives of Others” about life under the brutal surveillance culture of East Germany in the 1980s.
All of our film screenings are completely free, and open to everyone (although please note that some films might be unsuitable for children; check our website for details about the upcoming screening).
Coffee, cake etc. will be available!
(Doors open at 7.00pm)
We are currently using the side entrance, around the corner on Bunsen Street.
Do come along; everyone is welcome!
